If you want a better way to record your employees’ expenses while they’re on the road, guess what? There’s an app for that.
With Oracle iReceipts, a new iPhone application for PeopleSoft Enterprise Expenses, road warriors can scan receipts and enter their cash transactions directly into PeopleSoft Enterprise Expenses. Enabling employees to document cash expenditures on the go eliminates the time drain and errors that result when employees have to sift through handwritten notes at a later date.
“For organizations that have employees who travel frequently or work remotely, it can be extremely time-consuming to scan receipts for cash transactions and e-mail or copy and mail them to a central accounts payable office as a part of expense reporting,” says Paco Aubrejuan, Oracle’s vice president and general manager of PeopleSoft. “We’re hearing from our customers that this is the perfect solution for business users on the go, while improving corporate policy compliance.”
Oracle iReceipts takes advantage of the standard iPhone camera to take pictures of cash receipts and then upload the images to PeopleSoft Enterprise Expenses. Employees can submit cash receipt line items to PeopleSoft Enterprise Expenses even when they’re disconnected from a computer or the internet. Once cash line items are submitted, users receive real-time status updates of their submitted cash transactions.
Oracle iReceipts is available free through the Apple App Store for Oracle customers running Oracle’s PeopleSoft Enterprise Expenses Release 9.0 and 9.1.
