One of the Users on MSDN forums asked the question regarding the External Connector License for TFS 2010, Is there a limitation on the number of users? which users can access TFS over the web through External Connector? What is its estimated Price? Any technical limitation in this case?

Link to my comprehensive conversation with in this thread is as follows:

SharePoint 2010 Licensing for Hosting Providers

One of the hosting providers asked a question on MSDN forums that which licensing type would best suit their business, my reply to that question was marked as an answer, for complete thread kindly follow the link:

http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepoint2010general/thread/e0d17f04-4370-45ad-b1ac-0c69cc0d7085/#f5c2c646-7388-4aca-aaa1-45981cb55a40

So in this case when you would be going towards the licensing model, you will be opting for SharePoint 2010 (Enterprise / Standard) for Internet Users / Sites and hence after this you won’t be worrying about CALs as CALs are only for Internal Users for masses you can’t calculate CALs so a totally separate licensing scheme is given for this case especially applicable More >

Reactivating your Office License key incase of new Installation

Users often face an issue when they buy their Windows or Office License for a single PC and later they have to move to another PC incase of new installation or system crash. So now how can you re-activate your license key on the new installation.

1) Firstly try by activating it online usually it allows second time activation on a single pc license.

2) If 1 doesn’t work than the setup would be asking you to activate it online and usually the number of local Microsoft Office is displayed on the Activation Screen. Call in there and provide the relevant Customer More >
